Queen City Film Festival (QCFF) Announces QCFF 2015 Awards and QCFF 2016 Dates

Cumberland, MD, October 19 – The fourth Queen City Film Festival (QCFF) was held October 1-4 at the Cumberland Ramada in Cumberland, MD. Allegany Allied Arts, Inc., is pleased to announce the following awards for QCFF 2015:

We screened 85 films over four days. Thirteen filmmakers attended to present their work. A total of 1048 submissions were received. Between April and September, the following people served as screeners, helping to rate submissions and choose what was shown: David Rorabaugh, Eve Soliz, Steve Marting, Richard Russo, John Lombardi, Kara Rogers Thomas, Chris Closson, Sheri Whalen, Geno Frazier, Jordan K., Chase Myers, Paul Miltenberger. We would like to specifically recognize Kara Rogers Thomas for curating the Appalachian category, Steve Marting for curating the Horror/SciFi and Documentary categories, David Rorabaugh for curating the Cult category, and Eve Soliz for sequencing in Music and Kids/Family.

In addition, Allegany Allied Arts would like to thank the following who helped make QCFF 2015 our best year yet: Reel Time Entertainment (Jim Russell), Cumberland Ramada (Brianna Persons), Queen City Creamery (Terry Michaels).

We are pleased to announde that the FIFTH ANNUAL QUEEN CITY FILM FESTIVAL (QCFF) will be held October 6-9, 2016 at the Cumberland Ramada in Cumberland, MD. Submissions are expected to open April 1 and close July 31, 2016. Categories and submission fees to be announced.
